WHO CAN APPLY?

Carmontian citizenship is open to all who have a genuine interest in the Principality and wish to establish a formal civic relationship with the Carmontian State.
Applicants do not need to reside within the Principality, nor do they need to be members of any particular online community or platform. Applications are considered individually, and applicants should demonstrate a willingness to respect the Constitution, laws and institutions of Carmont.

Successful applicants are formally recognised as citizens and are entered into the citizenship records.

If your application is approved, you will be formally recognised as a citizen of the Principality of Carmont and your citizenship will be entered into the official records of the Principality.
You will receive confirmation of your citizenship by email, together with any official documentation provided by the Principality. Where appropriate, the Prince may also send a personal message welcoming you as a citizen of Carmont.
Citizenship marks the beginning of your formal relationship with the Principality. As a citizen, you will be entitled to the rights and privileges established by the Constitution and laws of Carmont, while also assuming the responsibilities and duties associated with citizenship.
Citizens are encouraged to take an active interest in the continued development of Carmont and its institutions. Further information and services for recognised citizens can be found on the Citizenship Services page.

Not every application for Carmontian citizenship will be successful. Each application is considered individually and with great care, and a decision may be made where the requirements or expectations for citizenship have not been sufficiently met.
Applicants who have been unsuccessful will be notified via email, and where appropriate, the applicant will also be provided with a brief explanation of the reasoning behind their rejection.
An unsuccessful application does not diminish the value of the applicant's interest in Carmont, nor does it prevent them from remaining a visitor or supporter of the Principality. Where permitted, an applicant may also submit a new application at a later date

Do I need to live in Carmont to become a citizen?
Do I need to live in Carmont to become a citizen?
No. Carmontian citizenship does not require an applicant to reside within the territory of the Principality. Carmont welcomes applications from individuals who live elsewhere but have a genuine interest in the Principality and wish to participate in its civic life.
Do I need to use Discord?
Do I need to use Discord?
No. Membership of Discord, or any other online community or platform, is not a requirement for Carmontian citizenship. The Principality exists independently of any particular online platform, and citizenship is determined through the formal application process.
Is citizenship automatic if I join the community?
Is citizenship automatic if I join the community?
No. Joining a Carmontian community or following the Principality online does not constitute citizenship. Citizenship is a formal status which must be applied for and approved through the established application process.
Can I hold citizenship of another micronation?
Can I hold citizenship of another micronation?
Yes, holding citizenship or an affiliation with another micronation does not automatically prevent you from applying for Carmontian citizenship. Applicants may be asked to disclose other micronational citizenships or affiliations as part of the application process.

No. There is no fee to apply for Carmontian citizenship. Applicants will not be charged for submitting or having their application considered.
