Certificates of Citizenship

DOCUMENTATION OF CITIZENSHIP

Certificates of Citizenship provide recognised citizens of the Principality of Carmont with formal evidence of their citizenship.

Upon admission to citizenship, each citizen shall receive an official Digital Certificate of Citizenship containing identifying information relating to their admission to the Carmontian citizenry. The certificate serves as a formal record of citizenship and may be retained by the citizen for their personal records.

OFFICIAL CERTIFICATES

The official Certificate of Citizenship is designed to reflect the character and traditions of the Principality. Each certificate incorporates the national Coat of Arms and formal Carmontian styling, with space for the citizen's personal details, citizenship number and date of admission.

The certificate is issued under the authority of the Crown and bears the signature of His Highness the Prince.

CERTIFICATES AND CITIZENSHIP

A Certificate of Citizenship is evidence of citizenship, not the source of citizenship itself.

Citizenship is granted by the authority of His Highness the Prince in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Principality. A person becomes a citizen when their application has been approved and the required admission procedures have been completed.

The Digital or Physical Certificate simply provides formal evidence of that status.

DIGITAL CERTIFICATES

Every recognised citizen of Carmont is issued an official Digital Certificate of Citizenship following their admission.

Digital certificates are provided without charge and may be retained by citizens as a permanent electronic record of their citizenship. Citizens may download, print or otherwise retain their certificate for their personal records.

PHYSICAL CERTIFICATES

Physical Certificates of Citizenship are not currently available to order. The service will be introduced at a later date once the necessary arrangements for printing, ordering and delivery have been established.

Citizens will be notified through the official Carmontian website when the service becomes available.

PHYSICAL IDENTIFICATION CARDS

The Principality intends to introduce optional physical Citizen ID Cards for recognised citizens at a later date. The cards are intended to provide a convenient, portable form of identification and confirmation of Carmontian citizenship.

Further information concerning the design, availability and ordering of Citizen ID Cards will be published when the service is formally introduced.
